DANCE

Students will be part of the Spirit squad, performing at halftime of sporting events, as well as assemblies. Students are expected to hold themselves in high regard as they will be representing the student body. Students will also be expected to take care of their uniforms and poms as well as learn all the routines for their performances.

STUDENT COUNCIL

The Student Council gives students a voice to make changes within their school community. We will work together to develop leadership skills, build relationships with the staff and students within the school, and develop school wide initiatives to build a school atmosphere based on what the students want.

Kids playing Basketball

flag football

Flag Football is a fun, non-contact team sport that introduces students to the excitement of football in a safe and inclusive environment. Instead of tackling, players remove a flag from an opponent’s belt to end the play. This sport promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship while helping students build confidence and develop athletic skills through friendly competition.

Green Team

The Green Team at P.S. 219 Kennedy King encourages students to become environmental leaders in our school community. Through fun and hands-on activities, students learn about recycling, sustainability, conservation, and ways to protect our planet. Green Team members work together on projects that promote keeping our school clean, reducing waste, and spreading awareness about caring for the environment. This club helps students build responsibility, teamwork, and pride in making a positive impact on our world.

CHESs

To build critical thinking within children, this can be accomplished by teaching strategy and understanding. Playing the game of Chess builds purpose, every move must come with a purpose to benefit every opportunity. Students can use the same practice in their everyday life, every move in life should come with a purpose to succeed in the future.
