“P.S. 219 taught me to advocate for myself and others with learning differences and provided me with the tools I needed to succeed at school! This made me a stronger, more confident student and helped me drive my passion for special education

All of my daughter’s teachers have been a positive influence for her. The dance team is a hugely important part of her life and we could not have picked a better coach than Ms. David. Her kindness, patience, and talent are above and beyond! My daughter’s experiences here have driven her to pursue her love for dance in high school.

Our third grader came home saying, "I made so many new friends! The school is so cool! Can I go there, too?" This, from a child who was happy and comfortable in the school she'd attended since pre-K. The students she'd met at P.S. 219 were so warm, so welcoming and friendly. She continues to make friends at P.S. 219 and continues to have fun every day that she is at school. Fortunately, the academics and quality of teaching are equal to that of her friendships, and she has been more challenged in her new setting. When we look back on our decision - this type of decision being very difficult - we feel we couldn't have made a better choice!

One thing I realized during my son’s final year at P.S. 219, was how kind and responsible he had become - not only for himself, but for friends and family too. The school works as a community to really develop responsibility, sensitivity, and resourcefulness in the students

I can’t believe you can like school so much. At P.S. 219 my teachers help me work at a pace that is good for me. This is great for me because I excel at high level Math concepts and the more time I spend learning the better I get.
